McMaster University is located in Hamilton, Ontario. It was founded in 1997 originally in Toronto but relocated to Hamilton in 1930. Some of McMaster’s strengths, differentiating them across universities in Canada, is its research-intensive, student-centred university dedicated to advancing human and societal health. Not only that, but it was ranked in the top 75 universities in the world by the Times Higher Education.

There are a number of different programs offered at McMaster from Business to Life Sciences. Although the university has a diverse range of departments and programs, the more well-known programs are Engineering, Health Sciences, and Nursing.

• The university was first founded in 1887 in Toronto before relocating to Hamilton in 1930
• McMaster was named as Canada’s most research-intensive university for three consecutive years (2017, 2018, 2019)
• One-fifth of Einstein’s brain is preserved in a McMaster science lab!
